Meet Our Wonderful Team

I am proud to have been a member of staff at Fenton CP School since 2006. I began as an LSA, supporting children across Years 1 to 4, assisting class teachers and delivering intervention groups to enhance literacy and numeracy skills. I also gained experience in the school’s LRC, working with children with additional learning needs.

During this time, I became the leader of Fenton After School and completed an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management to support my professional development. I was later successful in securing an internal post covering PPA time, where I taught PSE and RE to children aged 4–11.

After two years, I applied for and was appointed Flying Start Leader—a role that gave me the opportunity to support younger children and their families, while working closely with external agencies to ensure the best possible start to their education. I thoroughly enjoy nurturing children’s development and seeing them thrive across all areas.

As leader, I ensure children and families receive the support they need—whether that’s accessing speech and language services or helping families navigate their child’s next developmental steps. I manage a team of seven staff members, promoting ongoing training and development to ensure we deliver high-quality early education. We work collaboratively to offer rich, meaningful experiences that inspire curiosity and independence in our learners.

I am delighted that our commitment to supporting children and families has been recognised in our recent inspection report, which reflects the positive impact of our work.
